A few weeks ago I noticed that all of my preacher friends on Facebook had at least one picture of themselves in front of their bookshelves. Some guys have pictures with fancy cars, some with their prize 10-point buck and others with their favorite sports figure. But preachers have pictures of their books! From what I’ve gathered, this is pretty important. I know every time I see one of these pictures I lean in and strain my eyes to try to pick out whether he has any “good books.” Here’s a quick shot of my office behind my desk (yes, there are many more books you can’t see!).
Some of My Favorite Books:
- Temple and the Church’s Mission: Biblical Theology of the Dwelling Place of God by G. K. Beale

- Living for God’s Glory: An Introduction to Calvinism by Joel Beeke
- History of the English Calvinistic Baptists 1791-1892 by Robert Oliver
